Knocknarea, Rosses Point, Co. Sligo.
Yesterday morning around 7.30 I met Stevie from Belfast with his dog on the beach at Rosses Point.
He put off his yoga session for a while and we discussed the state of the world post scamdemic and the current vaccine genocide taking place.
Yes.
Two ‘randomers’ on a beach.
Just like that.
That’s Ireland and the Irish.
I am usually reticent in bringing up these matters with strangers but I sensed we were on the same page.
On taking my leave he raved about visiting Knocknarea, a nearby mountain.
Ten minutes later, while having a coffee at the statue I wrote about yesterday, a man approached and asked ‘was I ‘Patrick?’
Sean, a subscriber from Rosses Point had seen my article an hour previously and arrived up to see if I was still around.
Over the next twelve hours, Sean and his friend Chris gave me a ‘locals’ tour including climbing Knocknarea where is sited a cairn that contains the grave of Queen Meabh and ending with a pint in ‘Harry’s Bar’.
Many thanks to Sean and Chris for a great day and their plans to ‘keep up the good fight’.
New friends from an old world.
That’s me trying not to take away from the majesty of the cairn at the peak.
And yes, I did climb it regardless of the OPW ‘rules’ because as far as I am concerned ‘official Ireland’ has reneged on their side of the bargain since March 2020.
They only ‘own’ this great land if we let them.
Disengage.
I would also like to thank Dr. Anne McCloskey for her kind offer to meet up in Donegal which I will humbly take up before long.
Don’t worry, I won’t turn up unanounced.
I am not trying to turn this into the ‘Patrick E Walsh World Tour of Ireland’ but on my way back to Kilkenny I am going to park up in Kinvara overnight and if anyone out there wants to meet up for a pint or coffee just leave a word in the comments or email me on patricw8@hotmail.com.
Michael Palin never had it so good.
What a breathtaking view Patrick. Lucky you to have met awake people. I met a man along my canal walk who turned out to be a neighbour. He told me he lost his wife last Christmas. Being the blunt instrument that I am, I suggested it might be the needlecraft. He couldn't disagree with me and said it was what they did to her in hospital that killed her. I said I hoped he wouldn't take any more and that they are inventing a new pandemic. He said there were lots of new cases. I told him they were lying as usual and that RTE was an arm of the Government and that it was a depopulation agenda. I asked him to keep his ear to the ground
Beautiful scenery there Patrick I would love to be joining you for a few pint's but I'm working and also too far away in the land of Laois , but if you are passing this way on the way home and have time for a coffee give me a ring and I'll put the kittle on . Enjoy.
